Aviation
Employment Forecasts & How They Impact Your Job Search
In
early 2009, in response to the global economic recession, the
FAA released an updated report speculating on the short and long
term forecast of the commercial aviation industry. It may not
surprise you (as one looking for an aviation job) that they are
calling for a sharp decline in airline activity over the near
term, while returning to strength over the long term.

Available seat miles (ASMs) – the overall yardstick for
how busy aviation is both domestically and internationally –
will drop 6.7% this year after rising 1.2% in 2008. The good news
is they are calling for a consistent 3.8% rise each year going
forward after 2009 and up through 2025.
Aviation
Employment in 2009 – What This Means For You
But many, maybe
like yourself, cannot wait until 2010 or past to find employment
in the aviation industry, so I’d like to share the most critical
tip to ensure you are positioned best to not only find a coveted
aviation job openings, but to land it as well. (no pun intended)
Aviation
Employment Critical Tip: Be Very Visible
The great
thing about the Internet these days is that you can be extremely
visible to the right people, almost immediately. Incredibly, there
are web sites that specialize
specifically in the field of aviation employment. In other words,
they offer a “qualified talent pool” for all the hiring
manager’s of the major aviation companies, whenever they
have a need to hire employees.
My friend,
don’t make the mistake that many of your peers seeking aviation
employment may be making and that is joining the common place
job pool sites such as monster.com or careerbuilder.com and waiting
for the dream job to magically appear.
Aviation employers know where to find the qualified talent, and
many simply are not going to waste their valuable time filtering
out the clutter of a diversified talent site, when there are sites
like David Hammond’s AirJobsDaily.com.
Aviation Employment Expert David Hammond owns and operates one
of the most respected Aviation Jobs Websites on the Internet which
posts new aviation jobs throughout the day, each day for their
members to review and apply for. Hammond learned early on that
the most important asset he can deliver his members is the eyes
and ears of the aviation employers. For over two decades, AirJobsDaily.com
has been home to the top aviation employers, allowing them
to post their jobs, and seek candidate’s resumes online.
If you’re serious about looking for an aviation related
job, you should immediately post your resume and view the open
jobs on www.airjobsdaily.com

Best wishes for your aviation employment!
